Short update this week as I'm still plugging away on Zombicide 2nd Edition. First up I've put in an order for some new paint to start work on the Brownstones next week so hopefully I'll have some progress to share with you next friday. As for Zombicide, I'm coming up on the halfway point. I'm still painting walkers but splitting them up with survivors to stave off the tedium.
So far we've got Wanda, Ned and Josh from the classic survivor line up. Pretty happy with them all, although I think Wanda may be my favourite, after all, she's a roller skating waitress with a chainsaw and that's just cool. More pics in the gallery as usual.
However, you might have noticed we also have a new vehicle. This week I managed to carve out some time to get some paint on the Antenocitis' Workshop ambulance. I've had this one for over a year, but with working on Zombicide this felt like the perfect time to get it painted.
This is a really chunky piece, made of solid resin, with separate doors for the side and rear allowing you to model it however you'd like. For painting this one I used my sponge technique, which helps give the model a bit more texture and a more comic book look than if it were completely smooth. Admittedly I may have given it too much texture in some places and I probably should have masked out the windows. I should have also cleaned up the doors, but as I planned to have them closed I didn't really bother.
Overall I'm happy with the ambulance at the moment. I might add a bit more grime at some point, maybe some dirt, oil or rust around the base maybe.
Anyway, that's enough for this week, until next time, have fun painting.
